Sharkmob London are creating a brand new IP and are searching for somebody to work on its bespoke narrative. A multiplayer game with triple “A” execution when it comes to dialogue, characters, their storylines and a holistic world striving to capture the imagination of players around the globe. As a Senior Narrative Designer you’ll be given a chance to create the cornerstones of a brand new world and the stories of its denizens, working alongside a team of industry veterans (with experience from titles such as Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Path of Exile).
Take part in creating the high-level narrative vision of the game, while building an original IP from the ground up.
Participate in the process of forming the game’s narrative principles – the fundament of its storytelling.
Create the lore of the game – a riveting world ripe with story hooks and motifs.
Craft narrative devices – descriptions of places, adventures, forms of interaction that will support the other pillars of the game, its art and gameplay.
Craft the game's storylines – from high-level arcs to particular plotlines, quest and scene descriptions.
Create complex characters with psychologically realistic motivations and emotions, and then write dialogues for these characters.
A proven track record of narrative design, preferably in a AAA studio/game with experience of producing a large amount of narrative content.
Experience working on emergent narrative delivered via different aspects of the game, rather than the story alone.
An excellent understanding of narrative delivery in the RPG genre and open-world multiplayer games.
Experience in writing compelling dialogue for psychologically complex characters.
Experience working on the narrative of a project in the early concept phase – you have been responsible for the worldbuilding of at least one released project.
