We are looking for someone to build the key link between the artistic vision and the technical solution for our new, unannounced game! A great UI Tech Artist will be able to contribute to our designs, implement them into the game, and do them justice. You will be involved in every step of the design and implementation process. You will be an integral part in creating a playable game.
Your responsibility is to ensure the UI is implemented in the game and behaves like you, the artists, and the designers intended. It's a broad position where you are involved in every step of the game's development. You will collaborate directly with multiple teams to create a consistent and engaging experience for players.
You will be driving change by creating new tech, working methods, and best practices in our team. You will mentor and guide our junior tech artists.
As we are working with a live service game, you will be tasked with ongoing improvements and updating features based on community feedback and user data. UI is never an afterthought at Sharkmob; creating smart and easily edited structures in the early stages of the project is crucial for success.
- Several years of experience specializing in UI Implementation
- Been involved in the shipment of a AAA title
- Experience in at least one of the following engines: Unreal, unity, snowdrop, or frostbite
- Experience working across disciplines and departments
- Experience in motion graphics, animation, or VFX
- Experience in console and PC
- Knowledge of UI/UX
Sharkmob was founded in 2017 and has offices in Malmö, Sweden, and London, UK. The studio develops AAA-quality games for PC and console, using the Unreal Engine to power its ambitions of taking multiplayer games to new heights. Our first game, Bloodhunt, was released last year and we are currently working on two proprietary, unannounced projects.
